Blower resistors

The car AC system features more than one fan. The first fan supplies air to the condenser, while the other one receives cooled air from the evaporator and passes it to the air ducts.

The blower ensures efficient airflow inside the cabin. It introduces cooled air into the ventilation ducts by means of plastic rotors and distributes it through vents located in the console, around the windscreen, or at the bottom of the cabin. This way, it not only cools the air inside the car but also defogs its windscreen as well as the side and rear windows.

The vent blower is more than just a fan. It is also a motor and a resistor. The blower resistor is an integral part of the electrical system. It helps adjust the power of the blower motor based on the commands set by the AC controller. That is why we couldn’t possibly leave the blower resistor out of Thermotec’s portfolio of components dedicated to the cabin cooling system.
