AC external temperature sensors

Modern AC systems are no longer simple coolers that operate based purely on mechanics. Manufacturers are increasingly turning toward automatic air conditioners, simply because they are more convenient. The driver sets the desired temperature in the cabin and the controller decides to what extent the air will be cooled. In addition, it regulates the force and the direction of the air stream.

Automatic AC, however, requires transmission of information about the temperature in the cabin to the controller. This task is handled by the AC external temperature sensor. It is usually mounted in the control panel on the center console of the car.

Its malfunction causes the interior to be cooled too much or too little. This is because the controller becomes electronically blinded.
