Dehumidifiers

Following changing its state, a coolant injected by the AC compressor into the condenser must be dried. This is the role assigned to another component of the car’s AC system, namely the dehumidifier. Sometimes manufacturers use a device called the accumulator instead of a dehumidifier. We have both of them in our offer.

The AC dehumidifier plays an important role in cooling the air circulating inside the cabin, and, additionally, accumulates up to 10% of the oil collected in the AC system. Its efficiency depends largely on its tightness. Even a slight leak will cause excess moisture from the air to block the hygroscopic layer in the dehumidifier, resulting in the loss of its properties. But the erosion process will not stop there.

Installing a used or remanufactured AC dehumidifier may cause the excess moisture accumulated in it to decompose the filter elements. Their particles, in turn, may contaminate the condenser, evaporator, expansion valve or even damage the compressor. That’s why the dehumidifier should be replaced with a new one every time the AC system is opened or compromised.
