Even the best-designed cooling system would have no chance of fulfilling its function without a coolant, which takes the heat away from the engine and transfers it to the heater or the radiator. G11 agents comprise the basic coolant type.
The G11-type coolants are characterized by two parameters. Firstly, they receive heat, which, in extreme cases, reaches up to 150 degrees Celsius. Secondly, they contain between 500 and 680 milligrams of silicates per liter. The G11 coolants are recommended primarily for old-type cooling systems.
The G11 Thermotec-type coolants easily handle freezing temperatures
Coolants have to cope with high temperatures. But not only. In a situation where the car is parked outside during winter, another factor comes into play, that is, freezing temperatures. The G11 type coolants are designed not to freeze at temperatures as low as -35 degrees Celsius.
