Radiator, oil cooler, heater, and thermostat. These are the key components of the car engine cooling system. In order for them to work properly, a coolant circulation system is needed. And that is the role of the cooling system hoses. The key to success in both cases is the right materials and sticking to the set point parameters specified by the car manufacturers.
Attention to the quality of materials and precision workmanship is important due to the operating characteristics of the cooling system. This is because the hoses transport coolant under a pressure ranging between 1 and 1.5 bar on average. During intensive operation, the coolant heats up to 100 degrees Celsius, and in the case of a failure, it exceeds this level. The materials used for the system’s hoses must therefore be resistant to the long-term effects of heating and cooling and should additionally be impervious to frost.
