Heaters
Thermotec Heaters
The engine cooling system emits the heat collected from inside the engine outside of it. However, in winter, it is also responsible for heating the cabin. This function requires the application of an additional cooler in the system. This is taken care of by the heater, which mechanics also refer to as the little cooler.
It works in a very simple way. High temperatures and the hot coolant enter the heater, which is connected directly to the engine’s cooling system. The method of mixing hot and cool air is largely decided by a controller, e.g., the automatic air conditioning controller.
Why do heaters fail?
Most commonly, a heater failure results from leaks in the system or from an airlock. Sometimes, the heater gets clogged with deposits transported together with the coolant, filled up with limescale, or is subject to corrosive processes. Frequently, its damages are of a mechanical nature.
Heaters are technologically a small engine cooler
From a technological point of view, apart from its smaller size, the heater resembles an engine radiator. Our little coolers are produced mainly from aluminum. We also ensure that Thermotec products are widely available all over Europe and are designed and produced to the highest quality standards. We make sure they are identical to the original parts and that these parameters are maintained at each stage of the production process.
The Thermotec heaters are available in the biggest car spare parts shops across Poland. In addition to a verbal quality guarantee, each of our products comes with a 2-year defect protection.
